Backup node e-mail (CPanel)

Hi,

I'm have 2 nodes, where the first is the father and have sites in the server, and the son node where have all e-mails services. Have instaled in all nodes jetbackup, but in the node son, not working, because of the his not a father node, and in node father backup is ok, but not execute backup of the emails account. Have a solution for this?

Thank you for your interest in JetBackup and for your inquiry regarding cPanel mailnode support. We do not support it at this time but we continue to work with the cPanel team to add support for this feature in a future update. Just to provide a bit of insight, we are working for an implementation that will only require JetBackup on the parent node as per cPanel's guidelines since cPanel does not allow API requests made directly through the child node(s).

It's been over a year since cPanel rolled out its mail node version and there's been no feedback on 'when' JB will be supporting the mail node for backups. I got the same answer when I asked the question in a support ticket.

Is this a situation we need to find another backup solution for?

Without going into too much detail, we are currently prioritizing a couple of milestones on our development roadmap that we'd like to hit (PHP8, Interworx/Plesk, Google Drive, etc.) before we resume further R&D of this feature. We are currently waiting on cPanel's decision regarding the feasibility of this implementation. We may not give an accurate timeline for this feature until we receive an update from cPanel. We appreciate your understanding and will update this forum as soon as we have more information.
