Hello,
All our WHM/cPanel servers CPUs do not support AVX and as stated in production notes a future JB5 update will allow us to continue using the installed JetBackup 5 version as long as the license is active..
1) When will this update be provided for the unsupported CPUs?
2) Will the software continue to function as expected?
We also notice just recently WHM sending security alert notifications that these processes are out of date. Restarting the processes does nothing to stop this alert.

Re: AVX CPU Requirement to avoid disruptions of backups
Hello Bayden,
Thank you for reaching out to our forum! After careful consideration, we've decided that the best approach is to follow MongoDB's LTS OS release plan, which requires the AVX flags. However, based on feedback from the community, we have made the AVX flag optional for older OS releases, such as RH 8.0.0 and earlier.
If you experience any other issues with JetBackup, you can submit a ticket by emailing [email protected].
