Question: how to limit local disk usage?

Good evening to everyone on the forum. I need your help, it will be very welcome.
I just installed and configured jetbackup.
My scenario is as follows: I configured the backup destination for an S3 type account on VULTR servers.
Unfortunately I only have 20GB of disk space on my server (CPANEL/WHM).
I tried to perform backups and realized that before sending the backup to the remote server, JETBACKUP stores the backup files locally (on my server with little space).
My problem is: I don't have local space to store the backup job's cache or temporary files.
Is there any way to define a maximum size that JETBACKUP can use on my local server?
For example: only 5GB?
I would really appreciate it if any user helps me. Gratitude.

Hello LBM,

JetBackup stores a compress/archive backup locally in the workspace directory before transferring to the destination. The minimal space required for these backup structures is 110% of the largest account. With that being said, you might want to consider configuring an incremental backup job, as this backup structure does not generate temporary files.

Additionally, you may relocate the workspace directory to any of the partition/disks that have additional space.

Hello Trenton V, thank you in advance for your feedback.
Unfortunately I don't have 110% free (according to the account with the highest disk consumption).
Great suggestion, I'll try to do it using an incremental backup. Maybe it will help me until I get more disk space.
Thank you very much for your help, a compliment from Brazil. Gratitude.

It worked out. I configured incremental backup and now it solved my problem. Thanks for the tip.
One last question: in the incremental backup, when deleting files from the server account/folder, when performing the incremental backup again, does JETBACKUP also delete these files from the remote directory?
thanks again.

Hello LBM,

If files/folders were deleted on the source, the Integrity Check task will mark the files for deletion on the remote destination. The marked snapshots will then be removed by the automatic Snapshot Cleanup task which runs every 6 hours.

For more information, please refer to our documentation:
