Folks,

I usually give all users all access to cPanel account features.

Why not set the following Jet Backup Permissions to Yes?

User can restore account from Full Backups
User can download account File Backups
User can restore account from Cron Job Backups
User can restore account from Email Backups
User can restore account from SSL Certificate Backups
User can restore account from DNS Zone Backups
User can add notes on Backups

Thanks,

Jim

Hello Jim,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your question. With JetBackup, our goal was to give the admin user full control over their backup management. To do this, JetBackup has an advanced permission system (ACL - Access control list) which allows the admin user to define which group can perform what actions on the system. In order to ensure the admin has full control over the system, we needed to restrict the permissions of the end-user by default and allow the admin to choose whether or not to override these settings. Permissions are based on a simple YES/NO and can be overwritten at the specific user lever or a more global group level.

You can find more information on all the permissions in our documentation here: JetBackup Permissions
