[ERROR] Unable to create backup on demand. Disk space usage reached to the limit

Post by jessedavid »

I am getting an error when doing a 'Create Backup on Demand'

Code: Select all

Error: Unable to create backup on demand. Disk space usage (26.1 GB) reached to the limit (5.0 GB) for the account.
We still have 22 GB of free storage.

Can someone explain this further since I can't understand why the limit is only 5 GB? We also have free storage.

Thank you guys in advance. ;)

Hello jessedavid,

This error is due to the account's disk space usage being over 5GB. You are able to adjust this limit for backups on demand by navigating to JetBackup >> Settings >> Backup on Demand and changing the "Automatically disable backup on demand in the following cases" setting for disk space and/or inode count.

To clarify further, JetBackup disables backups on demand if any one of the two conditions (exceeding disk space or inode count) is met.

For more information, please refer to our documentation:

https://docs.jetbackup.com/v5.3-EDGE/ad ... ng%20cases

If the issue persists after adjusting the setting, please contact our help desk by emailing [email protected]
